During the inexplicable state of emergency in Moscow, a lonely young man is trying to find his missing dog and to figure out what is truly going on. Eventually, he finds himself in a parallel world where the dead and the living are inseparable, but the word "death" is strictly prohibited.
A dreamlike deconstruction of the female body in its movements and wandering through space and in confrontation with visual ruptures. The lyrical composition allows surfaces and gestures to spill out into surfaces of exploration, situating them within the whole of the mastery of the void by physical presence.
A WOMAN OF THE DARKEST DEEDS is an experimental short film (shot on 35mm and 16mm celluloid) which depicts a mixture of dreams, fantasies and memories shared by two different women, named Angela and Petra. We learn that the emotionally vulnerable Angela is haunted by her love for the distant Petra, who in turn has feelings for Angela and yet wants her to be out of her life. Manipulating the actions of these two characters in a manner akin to puppetry are a strange man wearing a top hat who may or may not be the devil, and an unconventional female religious figure.
A moving image and sound portrait of the aura; seizures in focused parts of the brain that result in sensory, physical and emotional disturbances, sometimes acting as warnings for convulsive seizures that may occur. Told through the voices of individuals who experience this phenomena, the film provides an intimate discussion on the different forms of aura experienced, the social stigma around these and the potential positive impact it can make on artistic expression.
